Akmar Meritamen of Bushwacker
(Ir Sh Ch Horsley's Sir Udo x Zordia's Queen Nefertari for Akmar)
Bred by Paula Steele 1 RCC
Health Tests : Clear of PPM
We tried not to have one, but were won over by a little madam named Jali !
Horsleys Sir Udo was bred by the late Jayne Wilson Stringer but was whelped and raised with the Bushwacker basenjis (www.bushwackerbas.co.uk). He is linebred from Horsley and Bushwacker lines and was awarded the RCC by Zena Thorn Andrews at the Northern Basenji Club in 2007. Zordia's Queen Nefertari for Akmar was bred by Val Allen. She has 3 RCC's including Crufts 2006. This mating is an outcross and we have high hopes for their daughter 'Jali'.
Her parents are both tested clear for Fanconi. Jali has been tested clear of any eye conditions and will be hip scored and screened for Fanconi before breeding.
Jali is an outgoing, confident little miss. She lives with John and Marie, who she wraps around her little finger!

Photos aged 4 months.
Jali has had an excellent start to her show career.

Very feminine, with lovely expression, super eye placement, wrinkle and muzzle. Dark eye and correct ear carriage. Good neck and decent topline. Good rear quarters, nice shelf. Coat and condition were excellent with plenty of pliancy. Movement again was choppy, but I don't expect much else with babies, as time and maturity should rectify this.
