'2007 - Theme -  Boy Bands and Girl Bands

 In January 2007 our WSS Jig (Sh Ch Highclare Scrabble of Bushwacker) whelped a super litter of 5 bitches and  2 dogs by Sh Ch Ferndel Certain Style.

The Girls - Bushwacker Atomic Kitten (Ruby), Bushwacker Bewitched (Meg), Bushwacker Spice Girl (Dilly).

The Boys - Bushwacker Chilli Pepper at Broomwalk (Monty), Bushwacker Take That to Knockmains (Rooney).   

'Bushwacker Titania ('Meg') lives with her new owners in Surrey and has become a much loved member of the family.

Bushwacker Bucks Fizz ('Juliet') has travelled to South Africa to become the foundation bitch for a new kennel of WSS.

South Eastern Welsh Springer Spaniel Club Championship Show 1st Postgraduate Dog Bushwacker Chilli Pepper of Broomwalk  'A young dog with some maturing still to do. He is well made with good angulation throughout. This was reflected in his excellent movement, with an impressive free, ground covering action. In good coat of a rich red colour. Well muscled quarters. Masculine, well proportioned head, good eye and stop and well chiselled to give refinement. South Wales Championship Show 2nd Postgraduate Bitch Bushwacker Bewitched 'very pleasing bitch with a lot to like, smart & stylish, of good size & substance, pleasing head shape, excels in neck & shoulder, plenty of heartroom, well turned stifles, good feet, not in the best of coats, used herself well on the move. Excellent skull, good eye colour, strong jaw and good pigmentation. Short muscular body with well sprung ribs, nice bone. Powerful driving movement. Good coat with super rich colouring. Welsh Kennel Club Open Show Jan 2008 Bushwacker Bewitched 1st graduate and Best of Breed. Meg was also 3rd in the puppy group.

December 2007 Ladies Kennel Association Championship Show Bushwacker Chilli Pepper 1st Puppy Dog (6 entries). 'Well balanced youngster of good overall type and developing substance. Keen soft expression. Moved with steady straight drive on good feet.' Bushwacker Bewitched  1st puppy bitch (12 entries) ' Very sound youngster in superb condition. Excellent skull shape, expression and enthusiastic eye. Perfect dentition. Strong reach of neck leading well into forehand. Good balance front and rear. Moved so effortlessly with straight drive from well placed hocks and tight feet. Excellent type and attitude. I found it hard to split first and second in this class but now I find they are litter sisters.   Judge B. Bunce.

A beautifully balanced head with lovely Welsh expression. Strong bone and feet. Correct neck and shoulders. Well bent stifles. Moved well with great drive for a youngster. October 2007 Gundog Society of Wales Championship Show (no CC's) Bushwacker Bewitched 1st Puppy bitch and Best Puppy in Breed. Judge M Gadsby (Afterglow) Meg was also shortlisted in the Puppy Group.

September 2007 Sherringham Open Show 1st Post Graduate, Best Puppy and Puppy Group 4 Bushwacker Chilli Pepper Delightful 8 months old d. Nice head and eye. Elegant neck, gd front and shoulders, balanced body. Strong movement for age. Best Puppy. Judge Jose Wrixon.

August 2007 Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show   Minor Puppy Bitch (5 entries) 2nd Bushwacker Atomic Kitten 'Another nicely put together youngster. Liked the head shape and clean front. Good shoulder placement and depth in body. Ample width in rear end, tidy in front not quite the rear movement of 1st.' 3rd Bushwacker Bewitched. Judge Mr C Mackay.

August 2007 National Gundog Championship Show. Minor Puppy Dog( 4 entries) 2nd Bushwacker Chilli Pepper. Minor Puppy Bitch(6 entries) 1st Bushwacker Atomic Kitten. Judge Mrs J Howarth.

The puppies make their real show debut in Autumn 2007. However in June Bushwacker Atomic Kitten ('Ruby') won Best Baby Puppy and Best Puppy of the Day at the South Eastern WSS fun day aged 19 weeks.  Her brother Bushwacker Chilli Pepper ('Monty') came 2nd in her class and at the South Wales WSSC fun day her sister Bushwacker Bewitched ('Meg') won her class, but was beaten to Best Puppy. Well done puppies !
