Welcome to the home of Bushwacker Gundogs. We are a small kennel in rural Lincolnshire.

We currently have Welsh Springer Spaniels and Bracco Italianos at home. We also own a basenji  living with  friends who kindly allow us to have fun with her at shows.

We  pride ourselves in producing dual purpose dogs  - some of which are worked by us or their new owners. Bushwacker WSS have been placed in Working Assessments and Working tests.

Our puppies have gained bronze, silver & gold Kennel Club Good Citizen awards. So they are beautiful AND 'Fit For Function'

No breed can ever be considered to be free from health issues. Just like humans, all dogs are a genetic mix of their ancestors - which includes the good and the bad. Everytime we breed we are combining these genes in a different way.

As an ethical breeder, I try to gain as much knowledge about the ancestry of my dogs and use this, combined with robust health testing, to make decisions about planning future litters.

 All our dogs are health tested and certificates are available on request

We have 3 generations of WSS with clear eye tests, below average hip scores and tested free from thyroid disease.

The Braccos have clear eye results (hereditary cateract & glaucoma) and are screened for thyroid and kidney disease. They are hip and elbow scored after 2 years of age.
